LOW TEMPERATURE FIBERS

Low-temperature fibers, often referred to as Low Temperature, are primarily designed for processes involving hot water and Hot Water Setting.

They are particularly suitable for braids and protective styles where it is necessary to finish or seal the ends with hot water, while they are not intended to be styled with high-temperature flat irons or curling irons.

Main characteristics

• Low-temperature synthetic fiber.
• Generally compatible with temperatures up to approximately 90–95°C, depending on the specific fiber.
• Suitable for hot water processes and Hot Water Setting.
• Allows for finishing and sealing the ends of many types of braids.
• Not suitable for high-temperature flat irons or curling irons.

Ideal for

• Box Braids.
• Knotless Braids.
• Cornrows.
• Fulani Braids.
• Cyberdreads.
• Synthetic dreadlocks when the technique involves using hot water.
• Protective styles that do not require subsequent processing with high-temperature tools.

Heat and processing

• Use hot water or steam only within the temperature compatible with the specific fiber.
• Do not automatically use a flat iron or curling iron: high heat can deform or melt the fiber.
• Always protect hands and scalp during any hot water or steam processing.
• Always check the specific product instructions before applying heat.
