Hi, I'm Valeria Finardi

Founder of this project, "retired" dreadmaker
and today an expert in synthetic fibers.

I was born in 1998, grew up in Northern Italy,
with a degree in Economics and Management
and a path that, on paper, seemed to lead me elsewhere.

But hair has always been a part of my life,
even in the most difficult moments.

As a young woman, I developed alopecia.
I couldn't work on my hair as I wanted,
so I started working on others' hair.

And that's where I found my way.

MY DECADE OF FIELD EXPERIENCE

Making dreadlocks for others became my way
of transforming an obsession into expertise.

Over the years, I've worked with many different fibers
and, like many other dreadmakers,
I encountered a constant problem:

finding the right material was complicated.

Suppliers often spoke of chemical processes,
of barely comprehensible technical datasheets,
but almost never about their actual use.

Many times I thought the problem was me.
That I was doing something wrong.

The truth was different:
I was using the wrong fiber.

 

WHY IS THIS SHOP DIFFERENT?

This is the first shop in Italy for dreadmakers, designed by a dreadmaker.

It wasn't created to sell "a type of fiber."
It was created to help you understand which fiber to choose and why.

I don't want to limit myself to selling kanekalon, henlon, or other synthetic fibers.
I want you to know what you're buying, how that fiber performs,
and if it's suitable for what you need to do, even before purchasing.

 

Here, the approach is clear

  • Not all fibers are equal

  • More expensive does not automatically mean better

  • A problem is not always the fault of the worker

  • Being informed avoids mistakes, hassles, and frustration

A conscious choice changes everything.

WHERE I SHARE MY EXPERIENCE

I speak simply about:
